Dries Van Noten @CinemaZuid in June

In June the inspirations of Dries continue to fill the movie halls of CinemaZuid. Don’t miss this last chance of seeing the films which inspired Dries Van Noten at this beautiful location in Antwerp.

A familiar looking alien lands on earth in The man who fell to earth. It’s David Bowie who plays the extraterrestrial looking for water to save his planet in the SF movie by Nicolas Roeg. As you go on a trip while watching this movie you’ll notice that Bowie is now as much as ever the most influential pop star in fashion. According to Dries he has always stayed timeless and relevant, which makes him more than qualified to join the list of inspirations.

Howards End by James Ivory is one of the favorite films of Dries Van Noten and therefore the perfect way to end Dries Van Noten @CinemaZuid on June 28th. The movie is based on a novel of E.M. Forsters about three families in England during WWI. The families from totally different social classes cross each other’s path and that with both tragic and ironic consequences.
