In the last few months, MoMu has been busy setting up a crowdfunding project on the platform Goteo and organized an event trying to raise money to conserve Frieda Dauphin-Verhees’ collection. Frieda was a costume design teacher who collected fashion objects for almost her entire life. She has decided to donate a part of her impressive collection archive to MoMu to continue to inspire and educate people. Through crowdfunding, MoMu wants to raise the funds to bring Frieda’s pieces into the museum’s study collection so it can be consulted by students, researchers and designers.

After weeks of excruciating nerves, we can finally say that we have successfully ended our crowdfunding campaign and ended up with a spectacular amount of €12.090!

MoMu would like to thank everyone for your generous contributions and your support during this project! Now it is up to us to carry out the project and bring Frieda’s study collection to the museum. In the next few months, we will be working really hard to make this happen. By the end of this year, the study collection will be digitally available online and you will be able to consult it inour MoMu library. We will keep u posted on the progress that we are making!
