MoMu Library donating books to Iraqi!

In an attempt to rebuild Mosul’s (Iraqi) cultural heritage, a campaign is set up to restore the university library and others in the city. The university once housed one of the most extensive collection of literature in the region and was once home of the most precious and valuable manuscripts and rare prints. These manuscripts were destroyed by militant during the occupation of IS in that area.

Since the campaign was launched, 400 books have been received by the city and thousands more are waiting to arrive. To show support, MoMu Library has decided to donate a selection of its publications to Mosul.
